Version 2.7.1

• Diamond menu : Fixed incompatibilities between the Diamond menu and Netscape 4.x and Explorer 4.01.
  

• Entourage 2001 : Added a preference for Entourage 2001.
  

• EBBE : Fixed 'Write to NIL' errors that would trigger the 'EBBE' extension.
  

• N.B.: Netscape 6 does not support the Shared Menus protocol and is not compatible with URL Manager Pro 2.7.1.

Version 2.7

• IE 5 : Compatibility with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 (IE 5).
  

• iCab : Some minor bugs where fixed, including problems with using iCab and using shortcuts in Internet Explorer 5, Eudora and Outlook Express.
  

• Sherlock : You can use the power of Sherlock from within URL Manager Pro with the commands "Index Folder" and "Index File". The command "Index Folder" instructs Sherlock to index all Bookmarks files in the URL Manager Pro folder. The "Index File" commands instructs Sherlock to index the current open Bookmark file*. Both commands require Mac OS 9 or higher.
  

• Backup : When you save your data to disk, you can make use of a new preference to always make copies of your Bookmark and History file to another volume or folder. The new preference is located in the General tab of Preferences.
  

• HTML : The "Export to HTML" feature has been much improved. You can now specify whether to use HTML Entities and the label colors of Bookmarks can be used.
  

• Address Books: You can now import Address Books from Outlook Express and Communicator.
  

• Shared Menus :
  • With the new "Quit" command in the Shared Diamond Menu, you can quit both the browser and URL Manager Pro.
  • Holding down the Option key while making a Shared Menu Item selection copies the URL of the bookmark into the Clipboard.
  • When using an Email application you can use the "Insert Web Address" command from the Shared Diamond Menu. The "Insert Web Address" command takes the URL of the current open Web Page in your Web Browser and pastes it into your current open Email message.
  
  
• Fonts : You may have a preference to use the List Font setting as your window font from the Internet Control Panel.
  

• Keychain : Using the Keychain manager from Apple (Mac OS 9), you can now create bookmarks that specify paths in addition to host names only.
  

• Tex-Edit Plus : Shared Menus are supported for Tex-Edit Plus.
  

• PowerMail : Shared Menus are supported for PowerMail. Add Bookmark and Grab All are also implemented.

Please note that ordering the URL Manager Pro Upgrade 2.7 will entitle you to the URL Manager Pro 2.8 upgrade, which will have the following features:

• Validating URLs (link checking) using the Apple URL Access engine (replacing Big Brother)
• Redesigned History window which will show you a 'Last Visited' attribute of a bookmark
• File->Recent menu
