These are the release notes of URL Manager Pro 2.0.5.
- Chuq Von Rospach has updated the
Apple Public Web Sites
URL Manager document.
- A very good tutorial
of URL Manager Pro is available from the
MacAssistant Web Site.
- Improved the highlighting of bookmarks. URL Manager Pro uses the highlight
color (see example below) specified by the Appearance Control Panel.
- New implementation of "Grab All" for Microsoft Internet Explorer.
- I have setup the URL Manager Pro discussion list. Enter the command
subscribe URL-Manager-Pro-Talk
in the body of a message and send it to:
<requests@url-manager.com>
I will post messages regarding beta releases and updates to the list.
- So-called 'Live Scrolling' under Mac OS 8 Systems!
Note: The option "System-wide platinum appearance" in the Appearance Control Panel
must also be checked.
- New look for URL Manager's windows when the preference 'Mac OS 8' is checked.

- Fixed a bug where URL Manager Pro reported an error while
writing to AppleShare Volumes.
- Selections of bookmarks in URL Manager Pro's windows are now
persistent between switching applications.
- A redesigned Find Window. You can now use the Copy URL button
to immediately copy the found URL to the Clipboard.
- The "Add Note" dialog, used while adding bookmarks via the
Shared URL Manager Icon Menu, is now a movable window under Mac OS 8.
(see picture below).
- Control-Clicking on the URL field of a bookmark in URL Manager Pro
now supports Internet Address Detectors.
- Added support for Microsoft Outlook Express and MailSmith. The commands "Add Bookmark"
and "Grab All" from Shared URL Manager Icon Menu are now implemented for these apps.
- Aliases to applications in the "Startup Items" folder now work.
- Added support for Web Confidential. Web Confidential can now disable
URL Manager Pro's History remotely.
- Changed the version naming of URL Manager Pro to 2.0.5 and included
the Mercutio MDEF version 1.5.2.
